05 Aug 2009 Update from your friendly Jam'82 webmaster:
NEWS ITEM: FACEBOOK Group formed for 30th Year Reunion planning in '12!
As indicated in previous updates (including the one from '07, published below), I am no longer involved in any reunion planning for Jam'82; I had my turn working on the 20th in '02. However, there now IS a reunion commimttee that has been formed for our potential 30th year reunion in '12; the effort is being headed up by our fellow alumnus Della Pray. She has started a group up on Facebook for this effort - click here to access it. And if don't already have a profile on Facebook, you might consider joining up...there are already scads of our fellow classmates there with whom you can reconnect if you are so inclined.
02 Dec 2007 Update from your friendly Jam'82 webmaster:
I took a small handful of inquiries last year in '06 as to whether there would be a 25th Reunion this year in '07, and I indicated on this site at that time that neither our 20th Reunion coordinator Gail (Martinez) Gugerli, nor myself, would be able to take the task on again for another reunion, due to our respective updated time/life commitments. I also indicated that anyone willing to take on either the event or web coordination duties (or both) was free to contact either Gail or me and we would be glad to provide any/all materials and/or guidance (within our limited time constraints, of course). As of this update, no one else was able to commit the time/effort..."life happens", I guess.
So, as I indicated last year here, the Jam'82 Alumni Project will remain a subsection of my personal web site only for the purpose of "historical record". I will not be making any further updates to it. (In addition, I had to shut down the Alumni Guestbook feature due to infiltration by "guestbook message spammers".) However, as long as I have this part of my site still published, anyone who might have the desire to take the project forward should feel free to use the "Contact me" link to the left, and I'll be glad to work with you to get any applicable material transferred over to you.
